Firefighting equipment

Every Firefighting team needs to be equipped with a breathing apparatus, communication kit and small equipment such as a lifeline, belt and axe. Each team has to be equipped with at least 2 two-way portable radios to improve communication. New ships constructed (keel-laid) on or after 1 July 2014. Existing ships (constructed before 1 July 2014) shall comply not later than the first survey after 1 July 2018.
